Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

By submitting a manuscript to the International Research Journal of Innovative Engineering (IRJIE), authors agree to comply with the following Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.

Duties and Responsibilities of Authors

  • All manuscripts submitted to IRJIE must be the original work of the authors and must not contain any form of plagiarism. The journal follows a strict zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarized content.
  • Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant intellectual contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported research.
  • Authors must properly acknowledge and accurately cite the work of others.
  • Authors should disclose any financial, professional, or other substantive conflicts of interest that could influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. Any financial support received for the research should be appropriately acknowledged.
  • Authors may be requested to provide raw data related to their manuscript for editorial review and should be prepared to provide access to such data whenever possible.
  • Manuscripts submitted to IRJIE must be previously unpublished and must not be under consideration for publication in any other journal, conference proceeding, or publication outlet.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board Members

  • The Editor-in-Chief and designated Editorial Board members are responsible for making decisions regarding the suitability, quality, and publication of submitted manuscripts.
  • IRJIE follows a double-blind peer-review process. The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board members ensure the integrity of the review process by maintaining the confidentiality of both authors and reviewers.
  • Editorial Board members handle all submitted manuscripts confidentially and do not disclose information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, external referees (when necessary), and the publisher.
  • Editors and Editorial Board members must not use unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript for their own research without obtaining written consent from the author(s).
  • Editors shall conduct fair, impartial, and appropriate investigations into any ethical concerns or complaints related to submitted or published manuscripts.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Reviewers must treat all manuscripts received for review as confidential documents and privileged information.
  • Reviews should be conducted objectively and professionally without personal criticism of the authors.
  • Reviewers should provide clear, constructive, and evidence-based comments that assist the Editor-in-Chief in making informed editorial decisions.
  • Reviewers are expected to complete their evaluations within the time frame specified by the journal.
  • Reviewers should decline review assignments where a conflict of interest exists due to competitive, collaborative, institutional, or personal relationships with the authors or affiliated organizations.

Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism, including the use of another person's language, ideas, thoughts, data, or expressions without proper acknowledgment, constitutes academic misconduct and a violation of publication ethics. Self-plagiarism, which involves reusing significant portions of one's previously published work without proper citation, is also considered unethical.

All manuscripts submitted to IRJIE are subject to plagiarism screening using appropriate plagiarism detection software. Tools such as CrossCheck/iThenticate, Turnitin, or equivalent systems may be used to evaluate the originality of submissions.

To avoid plagiarism, authors confirm that:

  • I/We understand that plagiarism is a violation of professional and academic ethics.
  • Any verbatim text reproduced from other sources is clearly identified using quotation marks.
  • All sources are properly cited within the manuscript and included in the reference list.
  • Sources of equations, figures, tables, and other copyrighted materials are appropriately acknowledged, and permission has been obtained when required.
  • Self-plagiarism has been avoided, and previously published material has been cited appropriately.
  • No copyrighted material has been used without authorization from the copyright holder.
  • The manuscript is original, free from plagiarism, and has not been published previously.
  • I/We accept full responsibility for the content of the manuscript and for resolving any disputes arising from the unauthorized use of copyrighted materials.

If a manuscript is suspected of plagiarism at any stage of the review, publication, or post-publication process, the corresponding author will be required to provide a clarification within one week. Failure to provide a satisfactory and timely explanation may result in rejection, withdrawal, or removal of the manuscript from the journal. Furthermore, future submissions from the author(s) may not be considered for publication by IRJIE.
