Reinforcement Learning (RL), a subfield of Artificial Intelligence, has emerged as a powerful approach for autonomous financial planning and decision-making systems. Traditional financial planning methods often rely on static models and human expertise, which may not effectively respond to rapidly changing market conditions and complex financial environments. Reinforcement Learning enables intelligent agents to learn optimal strategies through continuous interaction with dynamic environments by maximizing cumulative rewards. In financial systems, RL models are widely applied in portfolio management, stock trading, risk assessment, credit scoring, algorithmic trading, and personalized financial planning. These models utilize real-time financial data, market trends, and customer behavior patterns to make adaptive and data-driven decisions. Advanced RL techniques such as Deep Q-Networks (DQN), Policy Gradient Methods, and Actor-Critic algorithms enhance prediction accuracy and automate investment strategies efficiently. Autonomous financial systems powered by RL improve decision-making speed, reduce human errors, and optimize long-term financial performance. However, challenges including market uncertainty, data quality issues, model overfitting, computational complexity, and ethical concerns remain significant barriers to implementation. This study explores the applications of reinforcement learning in autonomous financial planning systems, reviews existing literature, discusses research methodologies, and evaluates the advantages and disadvantages of RL-based financial decision-making technologies.
