Containerized Microservices Deployment and Management in Hybrid Multi-Cloud Computing Environments
Abstract
The increasing complexity of enterprise applications has led to the widespread adoption of microservices architecture combined with containerization technologies in hybrid and multi-cloud computing environments. Organizations are transitioning from monolithic systems to modular, scalable, and independently deployable microservices to improve agility, resilience, and operational efficiency. Containerization platforms such as Docker and orchestration systems like Kubernetes enable consistent deployment, scaling, and management of microservices across heterogeneous cloud infrastructures. This study explores containerized microservices deployment and management in hybrid multi-cloud environments, focusing on architectural design, orchestration strategies, service discovery, load balancing, and resource optimization. The integration of hybrid and multi-cloud models allows enterprises to distribute workloads across private and multiple public cloud providers, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and vendor independence. The research further analyzes security, networking, observability, and governance challenges associated with distributed microservices systems. Additionally, the study evaluates the role of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code in automating deployment processes. Findings indicate that containerized microservices significantly enhance scalability, deployment speed, and system resilience while reducing operational overhead. However, challenges such as service complexity, inter-service communication latency, security vulnerabilities, and multi-cloud management overhead persist. The study concludes that effective orchestration and management frameworks are essential for maximizing the benefits of containerized microservices in modern enterprise cloud ecosystems.
